Video Enhancements: Footers

Learn to use Footers to enhance video for better results

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Playable Editor has two options:

  1. Video Editor: Scenes can be added and timelines adjusted to create the perfect video to be used in the video email campaigns.

  2. Video Enhancements: Playable offers 4 options that can be turned on or off to help the video deliver better results. These are Captions, Watermark, Endcard, and Footer.

In this article, we’ll focus on Footers.

What Is a Footer?

Like watermarks, footers are globally recognised visual elements that act as a prompt or call to action (CTA), encouraging viewers to click and continue watching the video.

Playable provides a standard footer with preset icons and animation. This footer is designed specifically for video email and helps drive engagement by guiding viewers from the email into the full video experience.

How to Use Footers

  1. Finish editing your video in the Video Editor.

  2. Click Continue to access Video Enhancements.

  3. Select the Footer tab.

  4. Toggle the Footer switch to On.

  5. Edit the default footer text to match your message or call to action.

Please note:

  • The footer icons and animation cannot be changed.

  • The preview updates after each play-through to reflect the latest footer text.

To remove the footer from your video at any time, simply toggle the switch to Off.

Hint: We recommend internally testing the final Footer on various devices, screen sizes, and email clients to confirm positioning and text size, as they may vary.
