NEW RELEASE!

The NEW Playable Video App is now available in the Mailchimp Marketplace. It is the easiest & quickest way to add a video to your emails. For more details please refer to our Video Tutorial and Step-by-Step Guide.

If you are still using the Mailchimp HTML Code Block to add Playable's HTML Embed Code, here is our video tutorial and a step-by-step guide on how it works:

Video Tutorial

Step-By-Step Guide:

  1. In your Playable account, go to Videos.

  2. Select the video to add to your Mailchimp Email Campaign.

  3. Click on the Embed tab.

  4. Select 'Mailchimp' from the dropdown list and hit the Copy To Clipboard button to grab the Embed Code.

  5. In your Mailchimp account, click the Create button, and next, choose Regular Mail.

  6. On this next page, fill out all the details and click Design Email.

  7. Select a Template that suits your needs. Clicking Apply, will open it to start editing. Now, drag and drop a Code Block where you want your video to be featured

  8. Click on "Use your own HTML" and highlight and replace the text in the top right corner with our previously copied Embed code. The video will start playing now.

  9. You'll have to hit Save to observe the changes and close the Template.

  10. You can now send a test email or send your campaign.

TIP: Any changes made in Playable to the video or link will require you to copy the updated Embed Code, which will now include all the changes.

TIP: Add your video as the last element to the email template as sometimes Mailchimp will stop you from editing the template once the video is embedded.

TIP: Add an email on "Select your Audience" to send a test email. You can also send a test using the Preview button when editing the email.
