Before you start
You'll need:
A Playable account with videos ready to export
A Salesforce Marketing Cloud account where the content block should be created
An Installed Package in SFMC set up as a Server-to-Server API Integration
Assets: Read and Assets: Write permissions on that integration
Export a video to Content Builder
Open the Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration in Playable.
Browse your video library and pick the video you want. You can preview it first to make sure it's the right one.
Click Export next to the video.
Enter a name for your content block.
Confirm the export.
Playable creates the HTML block in your Content Builder. When the export succeeds, head to SFMC to find it.
Update a content block you've already exported
Exported a video before and want to refresh it? Playable can update the existing block instead of creating a duplicate.
Start the export for the video you exported previously.
Select the existing content block.
Confirm the export.
Note: If you've deleted the original block in SFMC, export again as a new content block.
Use the block in an email
Log in to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and open Content Builder.
Find the HTML block created by Playable. You can open it to check the content and preview.
Add the block to your email.
Because it's a reusable block, you can use it in as many emails as you like.
Tips
Name blocks clearly. Include the video or campaign name so you can find them quickly in Content Builder.
Preview before you export. Check the video and thumbnail match your campaign.
Test your email. Send a test to the email clients your audience uses before you launch.
Update vs. create new. Update when you want the latest version of the same block. Create a new block when you need a separate one.
FAQ
